IRT-1000X sample compartment microscopy
system is designed to provide affordable analysis
of microscopic samples with the high performance
features of an external FTIR microscope accessory.
IRT-1000X offers unprecedented convenience
and ease of use, compatible with the JASCO FT/IR-
4X, 6X and 8X FTIR instruments. The microscope
accessory installs into the spectrometer sample
compartment in seconds without optical alignment.
The state-of-the-art optical design guarantees high
throughput for highly sensitive measurements of
samples approaching 20 μm.
Features of IRT-1000X
Easy installation
IRT-1000X weighs only about 7 kg, making it easy for anyone to attach and detach. The slide-guide system allows IRT-1000X to be mounted on the FTIR without any optical adjustment.

Easy replacement of objective mirror
The objective mirror can be replaced by a slide-in system instead of the common screw-in system. This allows easy replacement of the objective mirror. In addition, the objective mirror recognition mechanism enables to display the type of objective mirror used on the operation panel, and enables to record it as measurement information in the spectral data.
Condenser mirror adjustment mechanism
In the case of transmission measurements by an infrared microscopy system, the focal point shift of infrared light may occur due to the thickness and refraction of the sample, potentially resulting in poorer data quality. The IRT-1000X is equipped with a height adjustment mechanism for the condenser mirror to compensate for the shift in focus.

Operation panel
The operation panel enables the following operations to be carried out without using a PC;
- Displaying the measurement mode (transmission, reflection, and ATR modes)
- Displaying the type of objective mirror in use
- Opening and closing of the motorized aperture
- Turing ATOS illumination ON or OFF
- Brightness adjustment of the sample observation illumination
- Starting and stopping the measurement
PC Software
The standard dedicated PC software can display observation images (up to 5x digital zoom), open and close the aperture, and display the microscope’s optical system status. Scale display, length measurement, and ATOS display can be performed on the observation image, and the image data can be saved together with the measurement data.
